Introduction:
Eradicating poverty is the foremost goal of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. While governments worldwide have implemented various social policies to tackle this complex issue, significant challenges remain in building more robust and effective social protection systems. For this conference, we have invited speakers from over 20 countries across different continents to gather in Taiwan, where they will share the current state and challenges of social welfare systems in their respective regions. Together, we will examine the contemporary features of global welfare systems and strengthen international collaborations. The first day will feature scholars from Southeast and East Asia, while the second day will showcase research from scholars in North and South America, Africa, Europe, Middle East, Russia, and Central Asia. We warmly invite you to join us for exchange and learning!
